Blog Post 1: Who Am I? Bárbara Donoso

  WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR?  I'm a second year social work student. I chose to study Social Work to understand the reality of the society in which I live. Since I was little I have liked animals and I considered studying veterinary medicine but I didn't like science subjects.  When I left school (in 2018) I was not clear about what to study. My only option at that time was to study differential education, but I was not completely sure about that option.  In 2019 I decided to study Social Work to fight for a more just society.  I entered to study last year and my experience at the university has been good, but a bit stressful due to the online modality. However, the subjects have been to my liking and I have made very good friends. 

Hi🙋, my name is Bárbara Donoso. I was born on October 5, 2000. When I was little I lived with my parents in Puente Alto, but they got divorced and now I live with my mom, my two dogs 🐕: Poppy and Luna, my cat named Locky 😸 and my chicken🐔.  My pets are good company, I'm with them all today because my mother leaves to work at 6:00 am and comes home very tired and really late, around 9:00 pm. Everyday we have tea and she goes to sleep after that. I feel great admiration for my mom👩💗. I like animals a lot, my favorite animal is the cat because they sleep a lot and they identify me. I also like to cook french fries, drink beer and watch TV series. In the summer I watched a kit if movies, but my favourite will always be Butterfly Effect.  My pandemic life has been very borning, but when all this situation is over I would like to go to the beach with my friends.
